COLUMBIA, Mo. 鈥 The University of 狐狸少女 Board of 狐狸少女 recently named 20 faculty members from across the UM System as 狐狸少女鈥 Distinguished Professors and Professors Emeritus. The classification is the highest and most prestigious academic rank awarded by the Board of 狐狸少女.
Michael Williams, chair of the UM Board of 狐狸少女, said the strength of the UM System鈥檚 academic institutions hinges on the expertise of its outstanding faculty.
鈥淚t is always an honor to recognize our faculty with the highest and most prestigious rank awarded by the Board,鈥 he said. 鈥淭heir dedication to the university鈥檚 missions of education, research, service and economic development is paramount as we work constantly to create a better society.鈥

| Eric Sandvol, professor of geological sciences in the College of Arts and Science Sandvol is an outstanding researcher with an established reputation as both a theoretical and field seismologist. |
| Erica Lembke, associate dean for research and innovation and professor of special education in the College of Education and Human Development Lembke鈥檚 research focuses on supporting teachers and students with or at risk for learning or other academic disabilities. |
| Patrick Westhoff, Howard Cowden Professor of Agriculture and Applied Economics in CAFNR Westhoff is the director of the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI-MU) and conducts research on agricultural markets and policymaking. |
| Xiu-Feng 鈥淗enry鈥 Wan, professor of molecular microbiology and immunology with appointments in the School of Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Engineering, and Bond Life Sciences Center principal investigator Wan is an international leader in studies of influenza A and other pathogenic viruses used to develop vaccines and identify how viruses emerge and spread between humans and animals. He also serves as director of the NextGen Center for Influenza and Emerging Infectious Diseases. |
